Small Updates | Big Impact

You don’t always need a full remodel to make your home feel new. A few well-chosen updates can completely transform the look, comfort, and style of your space without stretching your budget.

Update Your Switches and Outlets:
Do you have off-white, broken, or partly painted-over outlet and light switch covers? These are among the cheapest updates you can make — and something you can safely do yourself! [Insert typical price or link]

If you want to go a step further, many switches have never been cleaned since the house was built. The gunk is nearly impossible to clean, and replacing them is inexpensive. I love the “Decora” style — timeless, affordable, and easy to clean with a quick wipe or Lysol. Important: Hire a professional if you are replacing the actual wiring — safety first!

Upgrade Your Lighting:
Old light fixtures can date a home quickly. Changing them out can modernize your space for under $100. I found a modern matte black exterior sconce at Goodwill for just $10 — now my porch light looks amazing. [Image idea: modern light fixture before/after]
Replacing lights may require minor drywall repair or a touch-up paint. And don’t forget ceiling fans! If your room didn’t come with one, adding a fan can be simple if electrical is already in place. [Image idea: stylish ceiling fan in living room]
